March 17: Temporarily Suspended Operations

To Our Valued Guests, Team Members, Partners/Suppliers and Edmonton Community –

Like all of you, we have been closely following the COVID-19 updates as it rapidly evolves and changes moment to moment. At this extraordinary and most critical time for the containment of COVID-19 and flattening of the curve, following ongoing consultation and actively listening to our people and to our guests, we have made the decision to temporarily suspend operations in all of our restaurants until it is deemed safe to reopen again.

These are exceptional times that clearly are calling for exceptional measures. As a born & raised Edmontonian with an independent local business that does all that it can to act and operate as a true member of this community, these are very trying and stressful times for all of us – we love this city!

We are working on ramping up our takeout choices being able to provide CHG ‘family-style’ meals during this time, and are providing curbside takeout at some of our locations for you to enjoy at home along with independent delivery. We will keep you updated on our social media channels.

I want to take this opportunity to personally thank the unbelievable team of people we have in this organization that make up Century Hospitality Group. Their unwavering commitment and tireless efforts to our guest’s health, safety and well-being has shown us all what it is to be a “family” and we’ll come back stronger than ever… together.

To our partners/suppliers, thank you for your belief in us and your ongoing support. This is an unprecedented time for everyone, not just in business and when we all emerge from this on the other side we know this will make us stronger, healthier, safer, and more connected than ever.

And lastly, I want to thank our valued guests for their continued loyalty & support. During this time of uncertainty, we hope that you can find a moment to pause & listen, reconnect with loved ones, rest & recover. We are all in this together, so please take good care of yourselves and we look forward to enjoying the pleasure of each other’s company again soon welcoming you back into our restaurants creating “family & community” together.

March 16: Commitment to Public Health & Safety

Dear Valued Guest,

As a company we’ve been closely following the evolving impact of COVID-19 on the world. I want to express our sincere concern for everyone who has been impacted by this.

Our company mission remains in always trying to deliver only the best in guest experiences, and as this ever-changing situation evolves we continue to follow the guidance of both federal and provincial health authorities, taking the necessary steps to ensure the health & safety of our guests and our people.

All Century Hospitality Group properties have implemented additional precautionary measures, building upon the rigorous and strict sanitation standards already in place. And although it is nice to hear from guests that have recognized our additional cleaning practices in our restaurants with an update to our previous communication that went out on March 12th, we have also taken further health and safety steps as well as doing what we can to make things easier during this time for our valued guests.

Our people and our guests have been at the heart of everything we do at Century Hospitality Group and the health and well-being of our team and our community has always been, and continues to be of utmost importance.

As an organization, we will continue to monitor this evolving situation taking guidance from our health authorities, and we will be certain to update our practices as new recommendations emerge.

We remain hopeful and very thankful to be a part of this city – we’re all in this together, it’s a privilege to serve this community – thank you for your support Edmonton.

March 12: Health, Wellness & Saftey Update

Just like you, we at Century Hospitality Group are closely monitoring the ever-changing developments regarding COVID-19. The health, wellness and safety of our guests and employees is of the utmost importance.

We are committed to doing everything we can to make Century Hospitality Group properties a respite when you visit one of our restaurants.

Therefore, as part of this commitment we’re raising our usual standards of cleanliness and health safety even higher. We didn’t become a leader in guest experiences by maintaining the status quo; you can count on us to meet the challenges of the coronavirus.

What We Are Doing Differently:
Given the heightened focus and quickly changing nature of the coronavirus, we are closely following the public health recommendations of Alberta Health Services, the Government of Canada Public Health Agency and the World Health Organization.

Each of our Restaurant Teams continue to adhere to strict cleanliness standards and procedures.  We are also working closely with Diversey, a third party global leader in hygiene technologies and services to only help make our restaurant environments cleaner, safer and healthier.

We are in constant communication with our employees to reinforce our sanitization safety procedures in both guest-facing and back-of-house areas. We are disinfecting high-traffic areas at an increased frequency.

We will continue to monitor the situation carefully, staying close to the communication of all federal agencies, health organizations and other experts.

At the center of our company’s purpose is a commitment to bring people together to ‘Eat Well & Live Well’. We remain steadfast in that mission, and we all need to continue to ‘live our lives’. We of course encourage you to join us at one of our restaurants and assure you we will be attentive and vigilant so you can enjoy your experience with us.
