Throughout this pandemic the health, wellness & safety of our team members, our guests and our community has been and continues to be Century Hospitality Group’s (CHG) top priority. As we continue to manage the challenges of Covid-19 and navigate these ever-changing developments, it’s become clear that vaccination has become the best defense out of this.
As directed by the Provincial Government and Alberta Health Services, effective September 20, 2021 Century Hospitality Group and all of it’s affiliated restaurant & bar properties will implement the Restrictions Exemption Program requiring proof of vaccination for all guests (aged 12 & over).
Accordingly, Century Hospitality Group will also move towards having all employees fully vaccinated by October 25, 2021 in order for them to continue employment within a CHG property. All current team members will either be fully vaccinated or be required to provide a negative rapid test result every 72hrs until vaccinated or health restrictions ease. All new employees hired effectively as of this date will have to be fully vaccinated for Covid-19 as a condition of their employment. Any employees who fail to either achieve full vaccination or disclose their vaccination status to Management by October 25, 2021 will then be subject to unpaid leave or dismissal as testing will not be considered as an alternative.
It is our responsibility as Leaders in our Industry to provide a safe and as enjoyable environment as possible for our guests and for our people. Proof of vaccinations have now become an essential part of maintaining this allowing us to remain committed to doing all that we can to remain open for business.
The safety and well-being of our guests and employees is our #1 priority.
As such, we are following government guidelines and taking additional measures to keep you safe. Our stringent protocols are outlined below:
- Guests will be required to wear a mask or face covering in the restaurant at all times except for when seated at their table.
- A maximum of 6 people will be sat per table.
- We are unable to accommodate large parties that exceed 6 people at separate tables.
- Per government guidelines we ask that guests dine with members of their immediate household only, or associated guidelines for caretakers and those who live alone.
- Hand sanitizer stations are available for guest use.
- All guest table surfaces will be disinfected thoroughly between use.
- All employees will be wearing masks and following strict hygiene protocol within the restaurant at all times.
- In common spaces such as waiting areas, guests are asked to maintain a physical distance of 6 feet between them and other restaurant guests.
- Groups will be seated six feet apart or with a physical barrier between tables.
- Digital menus are available via QR code on our website. Single-use menus are also available.
Operating in accordance with provincial occupancy guidelines, any guest exhibiting COVID-19 related symptoms will be asked to return when they are well.
- In light of new provincial restrictions, Century Hospitality Group is doing its part in the race against vaccines vs variants. We are transforming our indoor restaurants into outdoor dining experiences. As restrictions continue to change, we will do our part to change along with them. We look forward to serving you outside, as well as, with takeout and delivery services.

With the easing of health restrictions in Alberta, we are proud to announce that we are re-opening Hart’s Table & Bar, Rebel Food and Drink, MKT Fresh Food Beer Market, and The Parlour Italian Kitchen on Monday, February 8.

To Our Valued Guests,
On behalf of our entire Century Hospitality Group family, I want to take a moment to express my sincerest gratitude for your unwavering support. Over the past few months our world has been faced with some overwhelming challenges, yet we have found a way to come together and navigate our way through it.
While difficult and uncertain, our resilience as a company and as a community leaves us with a sense of being even closer to our guests than ever before.
The ability to stay connected to this city we love so much with our ‘Command Post’ curb-side pickup and delivery offerings allowing our kitchens to stay open and some of our people still employed has made this difficult journey that much more rewarding.
As we slowly start to re-open our doors, I cannot stress enough the importance of your health & safety and that of our people. Every decision we make will be with this in mind as the health and well-being of team members and our guests remains paramount. We are committed to delivering a safe environment at all times and will thoughtfully be implementing additional measures to our already rigorous standards under the guidance of local health authorities.
Century Hospitality Group will resume our dine-in operations limited to 50% capacity with plenty of outdoor seating and be phasing in the re-openings of our restaurant concepts over the next several weeks. Right now these stories are happening in homes all across the world and hopefully in our homes in this community as we all do our part to stop the spread of COVID-19, flattening the curve and practicing social distancing.
We at Century Hospitality Group most certainly realize that we’re all in this together and that together as a city, a province and a country we’ll emerge on the other side of this eventually. March 17: Temporarily Suspended Operations
To Our Valued Guests, Team Members, Partners/Suppliers and Edmonton Community –
Like all of you, we have been closely following the COVID-19 updates as it rapidly evolves and changes moment to moment. At this extraordinary and most critical time for the containment of COVID-19 and flattening of the curve, following ongoing consultation and actively listening to our people and to our guests, we have made the decision to temporarily suspend operations in all of our restaurants until it is deemed safe to reopen again.
These are exceptional times that clearly are calling for exceptional measures. As a born & raised Edmontonian with an independent local business that does all that it can to act and operate as a true member of this community, these are very trying and stressful times for all of us – we love this city!
We are working on ramping up our takeout choices being able to provide CHG ‘family-style’ meals during this time, and are providing curbside takeout at some of our locations for you to enjoy at home along with independent delivery. We will keep you updated on our social media channels.

March 16: Commitment to Public Health & Safety
Dear Valued Guest,
As a company we’ve been closely following the evolving impact of COVID-19 on the world. I want to express our sincere concern for everyone who has been impacted by this.
Our company mission remains in always trying to deliver only the best in guest experiences, and as this ever-changing situation evolves we continue to follow the guidance of both federal and provincial health authorities, taking the necessary steps to ensure the health & safety of our guests and our people.
All Century Hospitality Group properties have implemented additional precautionary measures, building upon the rigorous and strict sanitation standards already in place. And although it is nice to hear from guests that have recognized our additional cleaning practices in our restaurants with an update to our previous communication that went out on March 12th, we have also taken further health and safety steps as well as doing what we can to make things easier during this time for our valued guests.
- All locations are now operating at a reduced capacity to encourage more space between guests – seated further apart to allow for social distancing
- All menus continue to be sanitized after each use
- All tables and chairs are being disinfected between seatings
- All frequently touched surfaces are continuing to be disinfected multiple times daily
- All locations continue to educate our teams on the signs and symptoms of the coronavirus and how to stay healthy
- All locations have adapted revised hours of operation
- All locations are offering curb-side pickup for those guests wanting to enjoy at home and delivery is available through Skip the Dishes and Uber Eats with $0 delivery fees
Our people and our guests have been at the heart of everything we do at Century Hospitality Group and the health and well-being of our team and our community has always been, and continues to be of utmost importance.
As an organization, we will continue to monitor this evolving situation taking guidance from our health authorities, and we will be certain to update our practices as new recommendations emerge.

March 12: Health, Wellness & Saftey Update
Just like you, we at Century Hospitality Group are closely monitoring the ever-changing developments regarding COVID-19. The health, wellness and safety of our guests and employees is of the utmost importance.
We are committed to doing everything we can to make Century Hospitality Group properties a respite when you visit one of our restaurants.
Therefore, as part of this commitment we’re raising our usual standards of cleanliness and health safety even higher. We didn’t become a leader in guest experiences by maintaining the status quo; you can count on us to meet the challenges of the coronavirus.
What We Are Doing Differently:
Given the heightened focus and quickly changing nature of the coronavirus, we are closely following the public health recommendations of Alberta Health Services, the Government of Canada Public Health Agency and the World Health Organization.
Each of our Restaurant Teams continue to adhere to strict cleanliness standards and procedures. We are also working closely with Diversey, a third party global leader in hygiene technologies and services to only help make our restaurant environments cleaner, safer and healthier.
We are in constant communication with our employees to reinforce our sanitization safety procedures in both guest-facing and back-of-house areas. We are disinfecting high-traffic areas at an increased frequency.
- Hand sanitizers will be located at the front entrances of all our properties for guests and increased in prominent back of house locations for employees. Sanitizers will be refilled and checked regularly
- Public touch points such as doors, counters, chairs, tables and handrails are being cleaned multiple times throughout the day
- Surfaces such as our front lobby desks, restaurant counters and washrooms are being wiped and disinfected regularly
- Employee hand-washing procedures which are posted in all back of house areas have become more regular and any team members not feeling well are being instructed to stay home
- Our restaurant properties are being deep cleaned before and after business hours
We will continue to monitor the situation carefully, staying close to the communication of all federal agencies, health organizations and other experts.
At the center of our company’s purpose is a commitment to bring people together to ‘Eat Well & Live Well’. We remain steadfast in that mission, and we all need to continue to ‘live our lives’.
